Had a coffee tin of dead bits going back years. Bolted this onto my 4-1/2 inch grinder and worked through about thirty of them in an evening. Most of them bite again. Cheaper than replacing the index.
2 weeks agoThe guide holds the angle so you are not eyeballing it, which was my problem grinding freehand - bits came out off-centre and drilled oversize. These come out symmetrical. Short passes though, I blued a tip getting impatient.
3 weeks agoGet the gloves version. Bits come off the wheel hot and sharp and you are handling them straight away. The ABS body has been knocked off the bench twice with no cracks.
1 month agoDoes what it says on common sizes, but it is an attachment not a machine - you supply the grinder, and it only covers the bit sizes it has seats for. My very small and very large bits still get done by hand. Fine for the price, just know what you are buying.
1 month agoBought the pair so one lives in the van. Light enough that it just goes in the toolbox, and there is nothing to set up - clamp it on, seat the bit, short passes. No second motor taking up bench space.
